A portrait of my children once a week, every week, in 2013.

Bertie - Always talking, always telling us facts, always inquisitive.

Maisie - Very rarely do we get a serious face for a picture, so this is her, through and through. She’s a character, this young lady! ( Sorry if my daughter scares you ;) )

I’m joining in with this beautiful little series that Jodi began last year. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekly portraits of her two children and feel it’s a wonderful way to document my own growing children and also encourage me to blog and take pictures regularly. So, just in time, here are mine for this week (a little bodged together as I’m a late joiner!).

  1. Your daughter does not scare me. I am JUST like her. It's rare that people get serious faces from me, too. I'm so excited for your weekly portraits! I can't wait... I'll look forward to it every week.

  2. These are great! Love them both, Kerry! Bertie's big round eyes are always amazing, and Maisie reminds me very much of a younger me (I was well into punk!)

  8. i LOVE these! seems like you've captured their personalities perfectly in each snap :) i agree it's a great project and i'm really looking forward to being part of it so i can get to grips (a bit) with my camera and also have a proper (organised) collection of images of elsa over the year. i take so many photos of her but they end up in my messy filing! selecting one a week will be a good discipline for me. looking forward to seeing your 52 unfold. ace start! xx
    p.s. happy new year kerry!

  11. Kerry this sounds like a very good project for me too. I am thinking to join, but must catch up soon as I missed first week already. I was thinking of a 365day project. Involving photography but was doubtful about it beeing too much of a challenge. 52 should be doable and I love the idea of recording my little boy for a year. I will follow yours as well, so far very beautiful pictures :-)

  12. Hi Kerry, beautiful portraits - the same expression!
I'm in too! Our eldest daughters look around the same age, it'll be interesting to see how they grow over the coming year, the changes in her seem the most noticeable!

    Happy new year
